flushing the junk out

ive got some built up settlement in my tanks. wondering if there was something i could throw in there to break it up enough to get though the fuel pickup screen and into the fuel lifter. what have you guys tried that works?

b99 biodiesel

cleans the whole system up, but buy a box of spare filters before you start

I think the only place that carries it is like 2 1/2 hours away. Sucks

no, in truck. I've got no problem running a couple pre filters. Progressive straining.

Ya, 2 1/2 hours. There's one place listed for B20 but I know they don't have it.

i would drop the tank drain it them let the tank site in the cali sun for a few days

If I do drop a tank and need to drive with it off, do I need to plug the lines to avoid air intrusion?

Just don't switch your selector valve, I've been running the dually from one tank or the other at times for a year or more. The last few months the front tank was off, it was leaking, so it got pulled in the fall, and hasn't made it back on yet this spring. Just wrap the ends of the lines with a plastic bag or something to keep dirt and water out.
