I used to remove stock radio on my '99 Mountaineer with home made brackets with no problem.
But it doesn't seem to work for me this time on my 2001 F250 XLT.
I can feel the springs movig but radio won't move.
So I've been wondering if there is some kind of retaining screw somewhere?
Can anyone advise please?
Thanks.
no its the same as your mountaineer, some are tighter than others. the tool that is sold to remove the radio has little ***** at the ends to grab and pull with.
Mine was the same way, very tight. After inserting the U-shaped tools, I had to kind of pull them outward, also slightly alternating pressure from left to right. They can be very stubborn, you have to be persuasive.
