i re-did my brakes after the truck was only 2 yrs old... i put new ford rotors on the front, and that was a mistake.... they were warped withing 2 months.. so this fall im planning one re-doing the brakes, yet again, but upgrading to something good.... i have a 2WD and am having trouble finding a good brake set (without upgrading to a high end kit i hope!) anyone with a 2WD have any suggestions?
I used the ford ones and they have held up for me. They are so darn expensive with the integrated wheel bearing anyway. If you do end up finding a good kit let me know what you end up going with.

sadly the ford were cheapest i could find.. and they warped within 2 months of 90% highway driving.....
yeah the set that came with my truck from the factory were gone at 25,000. the second set lasted 5,000 before the wheel bearing was toast and then luckily ford replaced them for free because of faulty parts.
There is a conversion hub and rotor kit available to make a 2wd like a 4wd with a removable rotor instead of the one piece hub and rotor. I believe it is made by Centric.
That is one nice product....I am going to keep my eye on these. If they come back in stock I might buy some, so when I do my brakes the next time, i have them
wow this is starting to become a bitch... after some diggine, this hub replacement isnt even listed on the centric website, the zeckhauser link provided is a hub/rotor upgrade not just the hub... and trying to get the hub is proving difficult... im still working on it though...
you know...got to reading that description a bit closely and you know...just wonder if that is actually the way that they are doing the new 2009 and up F150's? Gen 3 brake system it mentions...thinking that mebbe finding one in a wrecking yard might be a cheaper way to go.
