Headers for'06 ?

Why do all the Ebay Header listings only show 99-04 and up to 05 on Excursions but no Headers for a '06 and up F-250 V-10s? Is it because of the 3 V engine? Will Headers help a 3V V-10 as much as a 2V?

Yes,the 3V uses totally different exhaust ports. And no,the manifolds are actually really good on the 3V's.
IMO-there's not enough of a gain there to justify dealing with the installation hassles, noise and future leak issues of thinwall tube headers on a truck.

Having looked at 3-valve exhaust manifolds, there's not a whole lot of gain in going to headers. Unless you just want tinny sounding exhaust noise

That's very good for the V10, but low on the towing - what gears do you have?

4:10s with a 6speed,my TT before this new 5ver was around 7500lbs and I got 10-11mpg with it,I only checked my milage once so far bringing 5ver home from Toledo (about 250 mi.) and there was about a 30-40mph side wind,so it might do better without all the wind.

Modern 5ers seem to be getting taller and taller... and a bit wider.

Aerodynamics 101:

Theory: Frontal area (pressure drag) is the primary contributor to aerodynamic drag.

Result: 5ers usually result in significantly lower "cruising" mpg than a TT.
