Has anyone done one of these in their trucks? how do you set up the regulator after the new one is in? did you rivit the new motor in? or bolt it

as far as fasteners personally for ease of removal and installation i would use bolts the reason it is rivited in now is because rivets are cheaper at the factory than bolts

i bolted mine on... and i think they only go on the regulator one way so its pretty much take off and put on... no set up needed

you may have to swap the wires around on the switch or where it connects to the motor tho....

the drivers side on mine was reversed from the factory one

Mine were bolted on from the factory, but you have to drill 2 holes in the door frame to access all the bolts (there are 3). The door frame is dimpled where you need to drill and you use a 1/2" drill bit.

Ok, do to be clear, I was talking about bolts that hold the motor on the regulator. The regulator is riveted in, but you don't have to pull the regulator to replace the motor if you drill out the dimples in the door frame.

Not all doors have the dimples, "best guess" on the doors that don't will work.

Depends on what ExtrmZ has to do, title says motor, body states regulator so at this point its unclear what he/she wants to do.

However I'd add if the motor makes noise, can hear it spin, but the window doesn't move or just slides down on its own he doesn't need a motor, just the little bushings that drive the regulator. Myself I cut replacements parts from of a solid sheet of nylon.
