OK after cleaning things out I'm going to need help identifying things and instead of doing a thread for each I'm just going to have a long thread of things I have and don't remember what I ripped them off of. The rear end ID was helpful I hope I get more great info
#1 VW Golf?
#2 late 30's Ford truck ?
#3 40's Imperial?
#4 80's Chevy truck?
#5 Late 60's Chevy car?
And a link to my photobucket page for better bigger pictures Stuff for sale pictures by fepowerguy8 - Photobucket
the chevy caps will make good dog food bowls . that is if your pet doesn't mind it / or is particular . mine would probably turn 'em over and pee on 'em ..................
Not sure about 80's Chevys but these were also used on the 70's models - I had a set identical to this on the '78 Chevy pickup I owned many, many moons ago...
So those hubcaps are most likely for any 73-87 Chevy truck, Darn Chevy guys are cheap , so are my prices. I'm thinking on my second list of pictures:
#1 power steering, possible mid 60's Mercury? remote fill throws me off
#2 no clue
#3 no clue
#4 fairmont/zephyr heater assembly?
#5 York a/c compressor mid 60's Mercury?
#6 Fairmont/zephyr a/c compressor?
duh me, ya part numbers would help. I'm kinda in a rush to get my shed cleaned out and all non useful parts out, going a little nuts. I will get the numbers asap.
You were on my photobucket page , the four hubcaps with the blue centers came off the 69 Galaxie I just stripped. I should finish labeling things in there, takes so much time listing stuff on craigslist. There has to be a better way to sell stuff, and I gave up on ebay awhile ago. I can seem to sell parts ok, but cars I can't give away, maybe I should strip everything?
Thanks numberdummy. I went through and labeled most of the things in my photobucket except some of the duct work I don't know what it is. Those taillights came off the 69 galaxie I stripped, I think they are bigger then the ones in 66, I could be wrong. I will get part numbers today since it's raining and I can't do much else.
Fordsix, but some cars aren't worth anything for parts either, so what do you do? It's weird though that a whole car is worth less than it's parts.
A few years ago I had a 83 LTD (small car) with a 200 and 67,000 miles, no rust, interior smelled like new. Got it for free put a regulator and a battery and drove it everywhere. Tried to sell it for $400, had no room for it and I ended up driving it to the junkyard and getting $150 and kept my battery, still ahead, but a mint car going to the yard is sad.

A few years ago I had a 83 LTD (small car) (I know exactly what this car is, because...) with a 200 and 67,000 miles, no rust, interior smelled like new. Tried to sell it for $400, had no room for it and I ended up driving it to the junkyard and getting $150 and kept my battery, still ahead, but a mint car going to the yard is sad.
I looked at both the '66 and '69 taillights in the parts catalog. 1966's are squarish and the same right/left.
1969's are right/left specific, as one side is slanted.
In 1983, I bought a new LTD Brougham w/a 200 I-6 from the dealer I was working at. Drove the car thru 1999...then the engine finally gave up the ghost. The rest of it was like new.
I ended up selling it back to the fleet manager I bought it from originally. He fixed the engine, AFAIK, his daughter is still driving it.
Ok so none of the ducting has any numbers or letters on it anywhere.
#2 on my second posting: D8BH-19C633-AA leads me to believe it's 78-79 Fairmont/Zephyr
#4 second posting: D8BH-18A532 Cavit leads me to believe it too is 78-79 Fairmont/Zephyr
#5 second posting: C6ZA-2882-A leads me to believe 66 Mercury A/c compressor
#1 second posting: no numbers on anything but on the bottom is stamped SWM
#6 second posting: E77H-two missing numbers623-AA, 6E171, 1F-1434, 87 what?
I never had any issues with my 83 LTD, looked neat with the Fairmont Futura hubcaps too. Never seen so many vacuum lines in my life, there had to be 100 miles of the stuff. I would have kept it, but at the time the county said 27 cars was too many to have in the driveway, so I had to pick the ones I really wanted to keep.
