frustrating intermitant prob.
Start up on cold start or hot but sometimes while driving but not as often. Engine starts right up on fast idle when cold or as it should as to normal idle when warm. Will idle perfectly as long as you want and drops off fast idle after 20 seconds or so just as it should. As soon as the throttle is applied the rpm increases approx. 200 rpm then the operation gets rough and the engine starts to stutter. The more throttle thats applied the worse the problem gets and black smoke pukes out the tailpipe. The engine then stalls. To restart takes some cranking but it does restart as long as no throttle is applied. Now same as on initial startup.
Now it get really interesting. If I put the truck in gear and slowly nurse it up to speed down the driveway the problem will clearup after a couple of blocks and the truck will run perfect from that point on. But you can run it at a stop and nurse the throttle to no end in the driveway and the problem dos'nt go away. Problem will not reoccur for days, weeks or sometimes months. Had it to the dealer but the scope showed no solution except to make my wallet a little lighter. It's like the electrical problem that never occurs when the electrician is around.
Your wisdom would be much appreciated.
