TRANSMISSION SWAP
Hey Fellas,been doing lots of reading here and other places on the front end swap ..looking for the donor truck now ,,next deal...while browsing thru one of the the local yards found a v8 with a 4 speed od supposedly ,,now i do remember my grandfather having a similiar 80-81 model with an od in it behind a 6 300,,, questions is how much of a pia is it gonna be to swap behind my 65 300 6? that is since its coming out of a v8?looking for mileage,,,
net delima ,, what the best tank to use to put one under bed i really dont want the fuel tank behind me in the cab ,,i cant fix stupid and the wrecks ive seen lately theres a lotta stupid running around out there.
prefer fuel be a little farther than a couple inches behind me...

don't know about the tranny..
i used a tank out of a 1970 mustang. a little trimming (about 3/8 of an inch) is required on each side of the lower frame rails to fit it in there but it's a sleek look. if you have any questions feel free to message me.....
