I have a 1994 F-250 turbo diesel IDI with a five speed my cruise dosent work nor does the speedo or the reserve tank fuel gauge and when I'm going down the highway my ABS light is always on. It also has a starting problem Iv'e replaced all the glow plugs and the ignition and the stater solenoid the truck still needs a new block heater but even when its hot out, if it sits for a day it acts cold. I'm thinking its the wiring harness. this truck is loved my Dad had it for 10 years before he gave it to me we went everywhere in it and I want to the it on the road ,any suggestionshttp://images.ford-trucks.com/forums...nfused0082.gif
theres a few things that can cause your cruise control to not work. bad/low vacuum, blown fuse, bad unit, the switch on your steering wheel could not be getting/sending power.
i agree with f250xlthd that sensor gives trouble advance has them 20$ just bought one is the overdrive light blinkin if so check the speedometer fuse if its blown that will make tranny trouble happened to me
A bad VSS sensor in the rear axle, or the connection and wires running to it would take out the speedo, cruise and ABS systems since they all get a signal from the VSS.
What kind of glow plugs are installed, anything other than Motorcraft/Beru ZD 9 plugs could be the problem start.
Air infiltration at the return lines would be a start, run for 10 seconds then die like it was running out of fuel thing.
Wiring harness, maybe, but the other things are more likely.
