oh dang it... XLT here bud, power seats, power windows, power locks... ah, it's a rough life with power lumbar adjustment... so rough... hahaha maybe i'll get me a little piece of strip steel and glue it to the back of the mounting surface for that wiper seal... hmmmm dang, i should be on FTE at 1:15 in the morning thinking to myself more often... how bout the dash piece that runs around the radio and over across to the passenger side... that top front edge piece that cracks on everybody... if you got a grey one of them to get rid of, by all means please, my mailbox is empty

Lol no no I am putting a diesel and E4OD into a 1975 Ford F250 'High Boy' which its stock front axle is a Low Pinion Dana44 HD. Also I just wanted 4WD so it can sit tall... and so I can do a little sled pulling.

I sent you a few PMs already, LOL!

BTW, I also sent you the info on those hubs. I was wrong about pricing.. he dropped it, and wants $80 now for the both of them. They are off of a 96 F-350 4x4. I am sure he will take less as he has advertised them now for the past 3 weeks and I was the only bite!

Don't matter the truck you're putting it in bud, it matters the power output of the motor doubled up by the t-case, along with the extra weight of the diesel motor itself. You can shred a D44 with a midsize V8 gasser! Just tryin to look out for your best interest man, def. need to go bigger to put a stroke behind it

lol yeah true but its a Dana 44 HD catch the end lettering HD it is the equivlent of a Dana 60. I have done my research and they are as good as a dana 60. Plus I dont plan on off roading, and they put 460's in these trucks all day long and a 460 dont weight that much less then a PSD.

I remember reading something about the 44HD's when I was searching for an axle for a baja truck that was going to be putting out around 5-600 hp. I dunno, maybe I got my apples mixed up, i seem to remember is being more comperable in strength to a kind of light duty dana 50, somewhere between the 44 and 50. It is an 8.8 over the regular 44 8.5 right? and I think the dana 50 is 9". But then you have to be careful about the 44 HD model you get to make sure you get the bigger axle shafts and not the under 30 spline cuts. Hope it works good for you bud, I just think I might have crossed my apples and oranges is all!

lol you may be right but I was always told that the HD is equivlent to the Dana 60 just uses smaller rings and gears. It also has drums, which suck ***. But you might as well watch and learn(Well not learn from me, learn with me). Like I said only off roading I plan on doing is sled pulling and a tracks flat.

cheers to ya bud, i'm always up for learning something new! You might check and see if there is a disc conversion kit. I bet there is for older D44's that would work on the 44HD. Or if you really wanted to get into some trick custom stuff, see if you can use the whole D60 or 44 outer shaft and knuckle to adapt discs in? Might be worth a shot...

anyone interested in the cab and walk way from that truck between phoenix and New Mexico? the less weight the better on the way back. egts get up there out in Arizona. if you want midwest. i can tear what i need off the truck (motor, front seats, bed, axle, wheels ,cab roof lights, and mirrors) and you can have the rest.

That sounds wonderful! If it helps any, you can either pull it apart at the guys place, or we can line something up and get it over here, where we can really dismantle it and get your squared away! Your choice! But yes, I would absolutely die for the parts! Thank you! Let me know! I can get you my contact info as well!

it looks like a long wheel base 1 ton cab and chassis ,and if thats the case a regular box wont fit.If at the rear the frame measures 34 inches then its a cab and chassis and a box wont fit.If its not an extended 1 ton chassis then a box will fit it ,and if its a narrow frame a box will fit it but you will have to drill new holes and do some messin around.

Its a LWB. Like Crahs said, you will either have to get a LWB bed, or a SWB bed, and Ext cab to mount on it. You could keep the flatbed?
