Good morning I recently aquired a 1972 Olson Kurbmaster stepvan. It is cool its propane fueled. It seems to have ford running gear. Its powered by a 300 6. My registration here in Wa. calls it out as a ford van. Am I to think that all of the running gear is ford. My problem is yesterday I started changing the filter and fluid in the transmission. All went well until I went to the parts house to get a new filter and gasket. None of the gaskets for the ford trans. matched mine. The filter was the same but not the gaskets. My pan has (14) pan bolts as does the FMX/Cruiseomatic according to LMC'S catalog but the new gasket way different.. The C-4 only has (11) bolts and the C-6 has (17). How can I find out what trans. this thing has in it. HELP THX David

Do the front doors slide back/forth? If so this is a P Series Parcel Delivery, once used by UPS, Frito-Lay and countless bakery's.
It was once commonly known as a bread (delivery) truck.
Ford sold the P Series rolling chassis to body makers, who installed their own bodies. These chassis were also used for Motor Homes.
No FMX's were installed in any of these trucks. It can't be an Econoline chassis, because Econolines of this vintage only came with C4's (1965 thru 1974).
What you have is MX Cruise-O-Matic, once called the BIG Cruise-O. It has 14 trans pan bolt holes.
This same A/T was used in 1965/67 F100/350's w/352's / 1965/72 F350's with the H/D 300 I-6 / 1961/67 390 Passenger Cars.
The pan gasket is specific to the MX trans, it is not the same as an FMX or the FX C-O-M used in 1958/67 Passenger Cars with 352's.
But...this same MX gasket was also used in 1955/57 Thunderbird's with Ford-O-Matic.
