Great tip! I used car-part.com to get a computer for my wife's Cougar. Of all the places in the world that did NOT have them, the junkie one mile from me had one in stock, and for only $75.
You can also just have a spring shop respring your truck for much less than those prices you quoted.
Looked into getting the springs rearched. They said you cant rearch them because they'll just drop down again. Quoted me $450 just for add a leafs. What do you guys pay for a rearch and hows the durability compared to new springs?

Being in Maple Ridge, you might want to give Ed a call, and drive down to Seattle to pick up direct from him and save the shipping. When I replaced mine, his price was pretty good, but the drive for me, or the shipping would have killed it. I used his prices to get a local dealer drop his price, even though it was more, I still came out fairly good in total cost. I had ordered a slu or parts, so the springs where a smaller portion of the cost.
You could also try a few 4x4 shops in the area, as they will sell the used springs from the trucks that they put lifts on. If you get in touch with some, or visit some, you might get some replacements in short order, even if they currently have none there are always people that upgrade, especially in the spring.

send me at least a christmas card or a 6 pac would ya!
You might try a discount Ford dealer. There are a number of them online, and they discount the list prices substantially. I'm lucky to have one local to me, so I can pick it up and save on shipping. Just to give an idea of the price-savings, the list price for a single V-code spring was $190, and I paid $127 for each. You might see if there is a dealer local to you who sells parts at discount prices.
I've had them just over 5 years now and they have held up very well with no sagging. When I first installed them I did have to add a 1" block to the rear to level the truck. I installed BFG AT's at the same time and all these years I thought the springs were incredibly stiff but it was actually the tires. Just installed a set of Duratracs and the difference is night and day. The ride is very comfy now.
I think I might end up going with the Procomp 22210, 22415 combo for a 4" lift which comes to less than $500 with free shipping.

I know this thread is old but hopefully someone will know the answer. If I were to go with the Pro comps as mentioned above, what other parts would I need? Obviously U bolts, but what about a pitman arm, new shocks and would I remove the existing stock blocks or leave them in. I am looking to get about a 4" lift. I have a 2004 limited, V10, stock suspension, no towing. Thanks
