T case and tranny compatibilty

When I did my tranny swap I put in a ZF S5 42 and kept my Borg Warner 4407 instead of using the 1356 from the donor truck. The bracket from the donor truck that the 4x4 lever connects into had several tranny models on it but the only ZF model said ZFHD and so does the linkage bar that connects the shifter and t case just as the ones from my E4OD both say E4OD. Is there a ZF and a ZFHD or are they the same thing. My link bar is too long to work the t case with the shifter so I have to go underneath and do it manually. It only gives me 2H and neutral and I need one about an inch or so shorter. Any ideas?

On the other hand I moved some wires around and the 4x4 lights now work properly.

Yep that bar is different between the auto and Manual. You can either cut it and weld it or buy the correct one.

Yeah I have one from my auto that is pretty long and obviously won't work but I have one from the manual donor truck on there now that says "ZFHD" on the bar and it also is too long still. It's just hanging from the t case for now.
