fuel system mods
I want to redo my whole fuel system, and get rid of the stock pump and get rid of the entire fuel bowl.
I am thinking about putting in an air dog or air dog2 what is the difference? Also will be doing the intank mods and getting new fuel lines.
What do I need to do to get rid of the stock regulator and connect the fuel rails in the heads and add a under hood gauge?

money is an object but its its worth getting i will get it. i need something that will support bigger injectors. i am planning on 450-500hp with this motor. i checked diesel site and they are out of stock on both there kits for the 7.3
my neighbor is a dealer for air dog so i can get that set up just want to make sure its a great as he says, also does riff raff sell a regulated return or just the crossover hoses?

fuel
I redid my whole fuel system. The only reason that I did it was the existing fuel system was hacked up and I didn't like it. I have a FASS and a DIY RR. All new fuel lines and intank mods. If nothing is wrong with your current setup I would do the intank mods, replace the fittings and keep the stock setup. You can get fp shims from RR, add a fuel pressure gauge and keep an eye on things...you'll end up spending a good amount of money if you redo your whole system when it may not be necessary...

Do the in tank mod. That will eliminate the air in fuel problem. Put a pre pump filter in. Regulated return. Fuel bowl delete if you wish. For piece of mind go with a after market pump. (keep the stock as spare) Walbro and Bosch are popular. Wack on a fuel pressure gauge and you are good for 500.

call and ask for Sam's weekly rate on this RR kit...for a rubber hose set up I like this kit..the hose will not chafe, rot, kink or burn...you can tie these hoses in a knot and wire tie it right to the exhaust housing on the turbo and will not hurt the hose at all..
Diesel Innovations regulated fuel return kit
to do a complete fuel mod will run you 800 to 1200 bucks..there is no cheap way out...
I have the fuel lab pump with a sump on the tank..to use it I need to run 5/8 fuel line from the tank to the 2 micron filter..then run 1/2 line to the RR..for the return fuel I will be running 3/8 back to the tank...read the spec's on the air dog for fuel lines..if it isn't what they want...your warrantee is worthless..
