Knocking on floor board.

I have a 2005 f250 which has developed a loud metal "clunk" sound when you break. It doesnt do it all the time, more noticeable at low speed <30mph hard breaking. Just started about a month or so ago. Shortly after I had all the break pads replaced. Coincidence probably, not sure it related.

Im thinking it might be a ball joint or something.

I do use this truck to plow with so I know theres a lot of added stress on the front components.

I'd like to try and trouble shoot this myself. Any suggestions?

recently i had the same kind of noise. it felt like it was right under my feet. my u-joints were bad. check your ball joints and sway bar bushings/links.
