Hi all, My truck is a early 03 F250 with 147,000 miles. Just did the ARP's NEW heads oil cooler egr delete and all that good stuff. Here is my problem the reason i did all that was i was getting the puking and building pressure in the degass bottle, so i bought a test kit from Napa (Combustion leak kit) blue water turned yellow. So i do all that work do the test again blue water still turns yellow? WTF? I heard that early 6ers drivers side back cylender wall can crack at the water jacket? Has anyone heard of this? My source works for International.
Did you check the heads for flatness? Did you shave them and if so, how much did you take off? What gasket did you use? What was the torque sequence used for the ARP's?
I'm not running any tunes, the heads were new decked new springs seats eveything, the gasket was one i bought off of ebay? The torque sequence was three torques up to 210 foot pounds.

I have heard this also - HOWEVER, all the years on the 6.0L forums and I have never read about it happening (quite a few forums). I suppose a cracked head (even though new) or block is a possibility.
What type of EGR delete did you install and do you have any more specifics on the head gasket?
Did you thoroughly flush the cooling system to make sure you got all the old coolant and water out? If you just drained it and refilled it, you're probably still testing a lot of the original coolant.

I drained everything but the right side of the motor, i could'nt get the plug out to drain it, so the right side of the motor had the old coolent let in it. Think that is the problem, and not a cracked wall? Thanks for all the feedback. I'll flush it a few more times and see what it tests at!
