1990 escort

I have a 90 escort 1.9 it is throwing code 87 fuel pump circuit what/where should I start looking I am usually in the 87-96 truck forum thanks for any input

I think you are going to have to check the fuel pump wiring. Check the wiring to the fuel pump relay. Make sure the connector is good with no burning or corrosion. Check the inertia switch connections. Check any wiring connectors at the tank.
