New here need help please

I have a 75 f100 4x4 390 engine when i turn off the key the engine is still running and no matter what i do it will not shut off.i had to play with the key finally it turned off.i nevered had this problem before, has anyone had this problem? thanks for you help.

if you had to play with the key I would assume that you have a ignition switch problem

I agree, sounds like the ignition switch. They do wear out over time (I recently had to replace mine because the accessory circuit was cutting out when the key was on).

X3 on the ignition switch. They aren't that expensive and relatively easy to replace.

I've had this happen on many of my vehicles over the years. New ignition set isn't too spendy or hard to manage.
