First let me start out by saying this is the best and most informative site I have found! There are many online sites but none that boast the interaction and knowledge as this one...you guys rock!!! Now for the question.
I was recently test driving a 2001 F250 PSD with 147,000 miles. It seemed to take a few seconds longer at cranking before it would fire off. Once it was running it had plenty of power and idled great. I then shut it off after a 7 mile test run, let it sit for about 5 minutes and tried starting it again with the same results. Just seemed to take a little extra time to get started. And by the way the weather was a hot and humid 88 degrees at test drive time.
Does this sound like anything I should be concerned about? I don't want to buy a lemon!
Welcome to FTE, As to the hard starting it could be something as simple as an oil change time, on mine towards the change oil time I'll some times experiance the extended 1-2 sec longer crank time. Somebody else might have a better idea chime in later.
