EGR Trouble Code
1999 E350 V10, 70,000 miles, it belongs to a friend of mine. My scanner pulled code P1406, Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic Sensor Circuit, Downstream Hose Plugged.
I stopped at Carquest, the only Chilton manual applicable was 1999-2006 Super Duty Pickups. Curiously, the manual doesn't list this trouble code for gas engines. I have a couple of questions.
Has anyone ever dealt with this code and what was the remedy?
Based on the code, I assume this engine has a DPFE system. Are these sensors relatively trouble free?
