more tuner questions
i still want to make sure i have my SCT tuner set up right for my truck. I called one place and they talked me OUT of buying their custom 50HP towing tune. that is why im back to square one asking questions again. he states that it shouldnt be used to pull more than 8,000 pounds.
some of you have your tuners set to performance, or custom tunes,
right now i have mine set on the SCT canned 50HP "towing" tune. i dont need much more than this, i just wanted to wake the truck up a bit.
and when i had it at the 65HP canned tune, i got 17.12MPG with a combo of bumper to bumper traffic, 70MPH, and city / street driving. so i know the tuner is helping my MPG.
my new dump trailer weighs 5,800 alone. tractor is ~3,000 and i can also fit my stump grinder in there with the tractor which is 1,300.
i know ive towed up to 13,000 in the new trailer putting me up to 18,000
anyways, do i call innovative diesel, or do i just run my canned 50HP tune and watch my EGT and transmission temps?
