Randomly bucking

Hi all, I have 96 f250 with 265,000 miles. I've noticed lately that at hwy speeds (55mph+) it will randomly surge or kinda buck for a second or two and then be fine. It only does it once a day. One night the CEL light came on and it dropped my speed from 70 to 60 then to 55. I couldnt accelerate anymore. I got home and took it back out and it was fine. Tried to pull codes but nothing came up. It almost seems like there is air in the line but it only does it at upper speeds. Any ideas? Thanks

Thomas

Could be the CPS but if your pulling hard it could also be your HPOP isn't putting out enough to keep up with the demand of your injectors.
