I bought a fuel filter to change mine out, but it came with two seals. When I took mine out it only had one seal on it, the beveled one. I have only ever used one seal. Are you suppose to use both or just the one? When I used both it seemed to leak, but now that I took the one out it stopped. Thanks
I just did my fuel filter. It said there is a new design, they've eliminated the beveled gasket because of frequent confusion as to which way the bevel should face. The round O-ring goes around the bottom of the filter in the groove and the square flat gasket goes on top as the beveled one did.
There are two types of fuel filters... one with built-in lid and one without... .. the round o ring goes on the around the bottom.. without it, it will not filter properly.. I am not sure what the filter with the lid has as far as a seal... maybe it's built in.. I use the non lid type myself and it is supplied with 2 seals.. one for the lid and one for the bottom of the filter..
