Shouldn't see a decrease.

Experiment with different combos, like 10k, 14.7k, 15.6k, 20k, etc.
See which one works best. I didn't like any of them and took them off and saved up for a chip. Much better now.

you will have to search the thread but one of the guys rented a dyno for a day and did a ton of pulls on what each one did and saw some pretty impressive results.

each truck is different and responds differently. my red truck didnt see much of a difference in the 10k and didnt like anything over 15.4? it would set a check engine light and idol weird. you can experiment all you want, its fun, that guy got over 90lbs of torque out of one combo,or mabe it was hp and 100ish+lbs of torque.. im sure someone will chime in with the link!

I got a good throttle response from 14.7.

With the right combo, you'll get a little more pep. I doubt you'll see a decrease in mileage. Unless you can't keep your foot outa the pedal after the mod.

Midnight Mods: ICP Resistor Mod – Version 1

here is my write up on it.

If you want to do it the way I did, you can get the screw down terminals from Radio Shack.
Makes swapping resistors pretty easy.

i put the 10K mod in and i noticed a better idle and a better start up. My truck is completly stock and it would throw some lite smoke but not its darker. Just to clear things up in order to make the 14.7K you connect a 10 and a 4.7 resistors together?

if you are holding the ICP plug with the lock pointing up it will be the bottom wire.

the same way you do the 2. just add a 3rd.
The terminal blocks come in strips of 4 and 8 I think.

I scavenged mine out of something else.
