Experiment with different combos, like 10k, 14.7k, 15.6k, 20k, etc.
See which one works best. I didn't like any of them and took them off and saved up for a chip. Much better now.
you will have to search the thread but one of the guys rented a dyno for a day and did a ton of pulls on what each one did and saw some pretty impressive results.
each truck is different and responds differently. my red truck didnt see much of a difference in the 10k and didnt like anything over 15.4? it would set a check engine light and idol weird. you can experiment all you want, its fun, that guy got over 90lbs of torque out of one combo,or mabe it was hp and 100ish+lbs of torque.. im sure someone will chime in with the link!
With the right combo, you'll get a little more pep. I doubt you'll see a decrease in mileage. Unless you can't keep your foot outa the pedal after the mod.
i put the 10K mod in and i noticed a better idle and a better start up. My truck is completly stock and it would throw some lite smoke but not its darker. Just to clear things up in order to make the 14.7K you connect a 10 and a 4.7 resistors together?
