So the "ol' girl" is giving me some major fits recently... I have just about given up on her. 358K is a lot for being an abused farm truck (currently thrown rod).
Anyway my project truck Thor might be taking another direction due to my 1983's current condition... I have been contimplating putting the 1983 doghouse off Ol' Girl on my project truck Thor... I am torn between fixing the problems on Ol' Girl and keeping the third truck or tearing her down for her parts... She's been in the family since new so it makes for a tough decision. My thoughts were to keep the 87-96 round wheel arches by miging them into the 83's front fenders but at the same time get that cool old look of the front grill and hood.
Any thoughts would be appreciated... GO crazy and pull the 83 apart or save her with a engine rebuild...
well not bad... but I'm looking at $600 conservativly for the thrown rod fix (I-6 rebuild... machine shop bill) and another $200 for a new clutch... body is good. it has a flat bed on the back but the cab doors and dog house are all in good condition.
