hey guys i have a auto enginuity software on my laptop to
read codes, clear codes, read engine activity , sensors etc.
its not reading cylinders 4 and 7. the truck runs rough when cold
and gets a little smoother warmed up. could this be idm or pcm
problem. also will a 95 idm work on my 96.

Any IDM from 95-2002 will work in those trucks.

Could be your UVCH wiring...

 

thanx for the reply. i have replaced valve cover gaskets, pigtails,glowplugs,uvch,
fuel pump and lines. new fuel filter, oil change and filter. i may try and switch idm's
to see if it helps. please any other help would be appreciated

 

Try it, if that's not the case you'll have a spare IDM for the 140volt mod

 

Anything from 94-03.

 

As long as it's a DI 7.3

Early 94's that were still IDI won't have one, and '03 they started the 6.0's, not many 7.3's in '03

 

I understand that. I just was trying to be clear on the years.
