I have a 2003 Ford F-350 super duty Pick up truck. Over the weeekend the motor started running like dog doo. It runs ok at an idle but as soon as you depress the accelorater it huffs black & white smoke. I did a code read at Auto Zone where these codes came up P-0603 P-1316 P-0478 P-1247 I did replace the fuel filters air cleaner and a engine oil and filter change. Fuel sample seems to be ok? I did not see any water in the fuel /water seperation bowl. Any help to find a cure to these codes would be helpfull. This truck has always ran great and has given minimal engine problems in the past 7 years. At least compared to my 6.0 liter desiel I have in my box truck.
Welcome to FTE. Sounds like your problem is just a loose connector plug. Plug it back in and you should be good to go. We call it a UVCH issue for Under Valve Cover Harness.
It's got pictures of the problem, ways to keep it from happening again, recommended maintenance while you're in there, and even a video toward the end showing the "fix".
It strays off topic a bit a couple of times, but it's worth the read.
