Lately when coming to a stop from hiway speeds when my tc unlocks if feels and sounds as my engine is going to die, for about a second. Then it seems to rev up all of a sudden about 200 rpm's and then back to normal. It is enough of a rev that I have to apply more brake pressure to avoid lunging forward. I thought I may have noticed a "lope" a couple a times at idle but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I think the lope is seperate from your almost stalling out problem. I have the same lope if I push the clutch in while still moving and have the rpms up about idle. I haven't found the problem yet and don't have the money as of yet to get the stuff to start narrowing and tracking it down but I'm told it could be the ICP.
Also, in regards to your problem with the trannie. Sounds like the TQ converter isn't unlocking like it should be.
Do you have any mods to keep the TQ locked and/or are you chipped? Have you tried it without those mods if you are?
It is chipped. I tried it in stock mode and everything seemed normal. I am thinking it is something with the chip. It has a John Woods trans, not a stock one. Also auto. The tc and trans have not seemed to have any problems, 7k miles on it.
If everything runs normal in stock mode or maybe even try removing the chip I would say you have your culprit narrowed down. Call Jody at DP and see what he thinks. Good luck Terry
