On my 1984 F250 Diesel I have no fuel to the fuel filter. when I switch tanks nothing seems to happen. The fuse is good. There is fuel in the tank. How do I go about troubleshooting this?
is the fuel pump on these trucks called the "Lift pump"? and where is it located is it that thing underneath the cab on the frame rail I only have taken a quick glance at it, when I did my fuel tank replacement there was no pump in the tank
The lift pump is on the front lower RIGHT (USA Passenger side) corner of the motor, it looks like a typical gasser mechanical fuel pump.
Disconnect the input line (from tank) and attach a boat bulb pump to see if you get fuel, or you can connect a line to the inlet of the lift pump and stick it in a CLEAN jug of fuel then crank the motor to see if it pumps.
