Did they make 1/2 ton 4x4 highboys, or were they all 3/4 ton ?

All 3/4 ton 4x4s 73-77.5 years. The 67-72 F250s 4x4s also are considered highboys.

I usually don't refer to them either as highboys because just as you said, they don't seem to fit the "highboy" term like the 73-77.5s.

like those two said, why did you find one for sale?people like to throw around the term highboy to try and drum up business for any classic ford 4x4. it is one of those dirty underhanded things that a guy by the name cheeto might try on unsuspecting buyers.

I was at a car show on Sunday and a guy had a 76 1/2 ton and I heard him tell a few people it was a highboy.
He said Ford only made 900 of them in 1976.
I asked him and he told me the same thing?

i've seen everything from 1970's f150's to mid 90's f250/350's posted for sale as highboys. people assume it will get more attention and money if it is one.

I guess some people think if they say Highboy when trying to sell it's just like saying "give me your money please" and some will fall for it not knowing.

a lot of younins have dads and uncles that talk about the fun they had in their highboys, so it is easy to sucker in misinformed youths to purchase so called "highboys". when people in general hear highboy, they think big, strong, offroad, stout trucks, oh, and did i mention people are suckers for the most part?
