Morning La. Its raining around here. My yard is a ft tall & too wet to cut. Its a great first day home.LOL My new sub is working great. It does shake the truck a lot. It makes the screws work loose on the trim panels. Someone said to turn the volume down to stop this problem. I used red locktite instead. You can't have music too loud. IMO.
Good Morning Steve, Rocky, Lariat, How y'all are this AM?? I found a water leak coming out of the ground by the back door, it looks like I'm gonna have fun finding and fixing, WISH ME LUCK, the 4th is getting closer!!!
"CRANK IT UP" Lariat, "CRANK IT UP" let it ""RIP"" LOL

It was great here today. It was cloudy but little rain. It was much cooler though with high 80s. I hope the cool spell sticks around till I get my yard cut.
Johnny I always let it rip. Why build a system if you don't plan to use it? I am building a ported box next to see if its as much louder as ED claims. 3 to 4 db gain with a ported box is a lot. I have to try it. BTW I can build custom boxes if anyone needs them.

I have pics of the sealed box. I covered it with truck bed liner paint. I just started a new album. Its my 2003 Ranger stereo install. It has 3 pics of the box from glue up to paint. I don't use exposed screws & only as many 18 guage nails as needed to hold the box shape till I get it clamped down. I believe in a real good glue joint & 3/4 by 3/4 strips in the corners inside for screws if needed. I use them on the panel the subs mount on. Good glue joints are plenty strong. I pound the hell out of my boxes & they don't separate. Its too hard to hide screws on a box you paint. Carpet hides them but I like painted boxes. I plan to paint mine the color of my truck interior
