Alarm problems
Alarm problems
I left an interior light on in my 03 E-350 and killed my battery as dead as you get. After I jump started it my dealer installed alarm is a mess. The key fobs are working as they should. However after the doors are closed but left unlocked, the alarm chirps about a minute later and is set. I presume it's now working as a non-passive alarm. It never functioned like this before. I've killed the battery before without this problem. I've read you have to dis-connect the alarm module and let the system reset itself. I'll try that, but I also wanted to check with you guys to see if anyone has dealt with this before. It is definitely a dealer installed alarm.
Thanks for the reply. I realized this would be a tough problem to research. This is not really where I belong but you never know. That link is very cool. I'm almost positive I can fix this myself, but you know the deal. Accurate input can prevent some serious torture. Take care.
