79 F250 4x4 alt. question

I have a 79 F250 4x4 with a 460. The PO noched the front crossmember to fit the alternator. I want to make this right but cant seem to find a good place or way to mount the alt. Any ideas (pictures would be even better)? Would also like to install a larger alt, say atleast an 80amp.

I dont know about how to make it fit correct, but for a larger amp alt do a search for "3G alt upgrade" it makes a BIG improvement.

Always a problem to get around with the 460 swap in a '77.5-'79 f250. When you mount it up high you have to run it off the crank and fan pulleys, not a good deal as you loose belt surface area. I made my mounts and my alt only runs off the crank pulley and the frame is not cut out.

Do you have any pictures?

Thanks Phatjack81. I forgot about L&L. Nice stuf but over priced.

I 'll go look for pullies off a A/C 460 and fab up some brackets for the alt
