4350 adjustment help

Ive got a couple adjustments that I am not quite sure how to do. I have the rebuild kit instructions but its a little confusing. So here is where im confused.

Idle adjustment screws - it says to turn each needle in until lightly seated then back out 1 1/2 turns.
Question:How do I know when the needles are lightly seated?

And the next question I have is about the choke valve initial pulldown adjustment, the measurement they give is confusing. It says to adjust the distance between choke valve and airhorn wall. The measurement is given as .160, what increments is this in? millimeters or something else?

Thanks much for your input.

.160 is in inches

When the mixture screws get snug, then back them out as recommended. You will need to readjust them once you get it running to get the highest, smoothest idle at normal operating temp.

Good looks that clears things up a bit, and as for the decimals I found a conversion chart in my haynes manual... kind of a dumb question lol
