Performance Upgrade
I always see threads on this board about doing heads on motors, and throwing a better cam in it to get a power increase. The question I have is, is it ever to late to throw a cam in an engine? For instance my truck is a 94 F250 with a 5.8 I have 115,000 pretty damn easy miles on this truck. Is 115,000 miles to many miles to start doing work to an engine?
The reason I ask is because my oil pan is starting to rust a lot, and the gasket has a very very small leak. And everyone I have talked to say you have to either pull the engine, or lift it to get the oil pan off. So I was thinking if I pulled it, I could maybe throw a cam in it, and maybe some heads.
But would it do more harm or good to a 16 year old engine?
Thanks guy!!!!
