Is there a way to verify whether the PTO winch on my 1966 4x4 is factory original, as opposed to an after market addition to the truck? If additional pics are needed that can be arranged.

The winch is not listed in the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog or the 1965 or 1966 accessory brochures.
It's possible the original purchaser had his local Ford dealer install the winch, and the bumper extension, both prolly bought from an outside supplier, possibly Marmon-Herrington.
But, one never really knows with FoMoCo, as unlike today, they were very accomodating back then...so look on your trucks Warranty Plate for the DSO code.
If the DSO is two numbers, the winch is aftermarket.
If the DSO code is 6 numbers, it's possible that Ford sent the truck from the final assembly line, most likely to Marmon-Herrington (in Indianapolis IN) to have these parts installed.
