You may know but I think starting in 73 the 1/2 ton trucks went to a wider leaf. I had wondered if you could use the wider 73 & up spring hanger & shackles but I bet the length of the leaf is wrong too.

Has anyone ever tried using the leaf springs from a different vehicle to lower or lift their truck, i.e.; S10, Jeep, Ranger etc? When I was big into Jeeps, I knew guys that would swap out their springs for S10 springs to lift it. Just wondering.

Rear springs:
1957/72 F100: 2 1/4" wide / 24" > > eyebolt < < 28"
1973/79 F100 & 1975/79 F150: 2 1/2" wide / 24" > > eyebolt < < 31 1/2"
