steering problems
my friend has a 2000 f250 7.3 diesel 4x4 that has a weird problem with the steering. it all started when the power steering and the brakes went out ( they locked up and would not release) he changed the power steering pump and the (hyrdo brake assem.) . the brakes work like they are supposed too. the power steering is not working at all but when you jack the truck up it steers easy with the motor running or not running its the same. but once we let the weight back on the tires you can barrely turn it while its running. we can not get any fluid out of the steering box any ideas out there? the ford service manager said it needs a steering box but can we flush the steering box and solve the problem. any help will be appreciated
