something is wrong and i cant figure out what it is. Here is what happened, this morning i drove to town and my bronc ran perfectly normal then about two hours later when i went to come home it ran fine too..... then i got on the freeway, and it starting sputtering and bucking like it was out of gas but i know for a fact it has over a third of a tank ( i just put 10 gallons in on top of the 1/8th of a tank i already had at about 10:30 last night. ) so i managed to get it home and about ten minutes ago i was tinkering on it trying to figure out the problem and it runs fine at idle but from about 1500-2200 rpms it actlike its out of gas; i pulled the fuel line and the pump i replaced less than two months ago is working fine, but anyway while i was tinkering it popped and shot gas up out of the carb about a foot and a half high. it an 83 bronco with a 351w. Any help would be very much appreciated i NEED to fix this problem. thanks, Seth.
Think or Know? Did you rebuid it or someone else? It might be the distributor going out, I had to rebuild the distributor after it wouldn't start. It's like it ran out of gas when it happens.
I know for sure it was rte built in last august. and i didn't do it my grandpa did but he definitely knows what he's doing. and i checked the fuel filter and its completely fine. i was thinking a jet in the carb might be plugged up so i'm gonna take some carb cleaner to it. and okay i will check out the distributer too. thank you very much for all of your help.
