RE:Y block motors

What years did Ford build their 292 Ford V8's???
And where they all in trucks???

And if anyone knows what years did Ford use the T-98 4 speed with their Y-block V8's and did all the Y-block motors used with this transmission.

I'll greatly appreciate any help.

Not sure about other years but my 57 truck came with the 272 Y block with a T98 4 speed. I think the 3 sp was more common.

The 292 was used in U.S. Ford ( full size ) cars from '56 to '62, T'Birds from '55 to '57, Mercs from '55 to '56 ( maybe '57 ), and Ford trucks from mid '58 thru '64.
