When I was in elementary school, we had three 5th grade classes. This truck belongs to one of those teachers. I was only 11 (circa 2001) at the time, but I remember seeing it in the lot at school and thinking "my '77 can look like that one day". I know Mr. Bedell bought it new, and my teacher Mr. Desantis vouched for the no rain claim.
That is one sweet truck Its almost imposible to find trucks that nice that are all original. I see your from bell vernon what a quincidence im from irwin.
Didn't know about the 8-track deal. Maybe its a period aftermarket or dealer installed item. Don't know how popular 8 tracks were in '78, way before my time. My dad swapped a cassette player into my '77 sometime in the '80s. I know $14,500 sounds rediculous, considering the truck was probably around half that new. I know the original sticker on ny '77 F-250 was roughly $8000. I'd probably be willing to give $10 or $11k for this truck If I had the money. The big selling factor here is the fact it's probably the only dent left in western PA with all its original sheetmetal. Mine's got a '79 front clip , Bronco doors, and a bed from down south somewhere.
And I'm in Elizabeth, the truck is in BV. I know Irwin kinda well, and by the looks of you avatar, you own that awesome blue '79 I saw at the Norwin shopping center.
