I am curious to see what kind of big loads other people haul with their trucks. Basically, how big are the ***** on your truck.
Post the weight (obviously), your truck, distance hauled, terrain, what was your cargo, how the truck handled, how often you pull that much, etc... And if you got them, pics of your rig and load, and even a weigh slip. Lets try not to get into motor debates here; there are multiple other threads for that. I think everyone on here would be interested in the loads FTE members pull with their trucks. So go ahead, let the bragging begin
Note: I realize there have been various posts of people posting how much they have towed, but a thread with them consolidated may be useful to other members. I know it would be for me.
My brother in law asked me to pull a dump trailer full of firewood up to his place about two hours away...I figured why not? Picked up the trailer full of wood, split, stacked oak in his 16' dump trailer with 6' sides. Hooked it up checked lights, tires, etc. as it's not my trailer. Noticed it made the X sag a bit more than I usually notice. Headed for his house, pulled a little harder than normal, so I figured it must be pretty heavy. Got there with no issues. A few days later he tried to move it to where he was going to dump it...his 05 Suburban could not move it, he kept loosing traction and even in four whee drive the truck just hopped and bucked. He ended up using his dad's F-350 to move it, but took it to the local dump to weigh it just to see. Trailer and wood combined for just over 16,000lbs. I think if I would have known that, I would have let him pull it, but no harm done!
I've hauled 15-16,000 pounds a few times behind my 13,660# F550 V10 a few times, including 3 IH 4700's and a Ford F800. Usually just a few miles. Here is one of the 4700's, on a snowy day:

That is a sweet tow rig! I love to see people haulin big loads with the v10.
I have hauled 8000 pounds on my 03 F450 V10 rollback. It was a crew cab Dodge Cummins, with a 100 gallon auxiliary diesel tank (full) in the bed. That put me at about 20,000 on a 15,000 pound chassis. Truck did great, and pulled well. Normally I would not haul that much on the flatbed, But I couldn't use my 05 F450 6.0 tow truck because of overheating issues.

The most verified weight I have had in the bed of my 250 is 5k lbs. Two pallets of brick pavers that weighed 2500 lbs each. The most I have towed with it is an estimated 15k lbs(accurate to + - 1k lbs).
OBS f150. Not sure on weight in the bed, but nothing heavier than a load of firewood. Heaviest tow has been a 6k lb camper.
2006 ranger. Never towed with it and the heaviest thing I have hauled would be about 5 bags of groceries lol.
22,400 GCW across the scales at the scrap yard. 16,000 is what most of my towing comes out to.
I once had 5800 pounds of concreat in the back. 3800 ( just a touch over my GVWR ) I have done lots of times.
Here is a common load for me during haying season. Across the scales at 23,000 lbs. Steer axle 4,000, Drive axle 6,200, Trailer 12,800.
This particular load I pulled about 160 miles. It handled extremely well, mostly on secondary highways. Quite a bit of winding roads with some 5 and 6% grades. Fuel mileage for the trip was 11.8 mpg, so I was very pleased.
Sorry for the pic quality, it was an old cell phone.
