No, I imagine that'd get uncomfortable after a while. Besides, some of the jeans/shorts I wear in
the garage are getting pretty thin and generally rip easily and belt loops come apart
There is no way I would hang myself from my shop clothes ... I'd be on the floor!
My pops is paralyzed from the waist down, he has an electric/electric hydraulic table that he lays on, it's shaped like a U, and he can drive it right over an engine compartment and lay there arms hanging working on the top end. It's pretty cool, I plan on getting a pic of it if I ever make it out to see him again.
I don't think he uses it any longer, I don't think he can do much any more. We don't see eye to eye on most matters.
Neat idea, bashby! A simple solution, as long as you have a source of replacement air.
I once saw a TV program showing where a trailer was too high and had become stuck in a highway tunnel, thereby stopping traffic. The solution was to let the air out of all tires and slowly move forward. It worked!
Air out of the tires doesn't lower it enough for me ...
That stuck trailer was on that stupid show called Wrecked ... They are complete IDIOTS! It's all about the drama and if there ain't any create some!
They at first were cutting the top of the trailer off, then some one finally came up with the brilliant idea to flatten the tires after a hour or so of drama!
What a bunch of idiots, That would have been the very first thing I did, flatten the tires and take it out the way it went in ... Not go the rest of the way through as them drama queens did.
Sheesh, some 30 years ago my dad got a wrecker call. Seems a loaded cement went inside a building, emptied out, then couldn't get back out the same door it went in. He gladly charged them the call out fee, and hourly rate to deflate/inflate tires on those trucks, as it was a huge pour that took all day, and every truck suffered the same problem.......
Yeah. The cement companies have learned though. Many trucks now have air bag suspension with a dump valve........
Even most semi's have the air bags, but many don't have the dump valves.....
Reminds me of a story: A man gets a flat next to an insane assylum. A patient is standing at the fence watching him change the tire when the man accidentally kicks the hubcap with the lug nuts and they all go into a storm drain. After an hour or so of trying to fetch the lug nuts the man gives up and begins to walk for help. The patient yells, HEY, why dont you take a lug nut off of each wheel and then you'll have 3 on each wheel and be able to drive the car to a service station? After doing so the man says to the patient, JEez that was a pretty good idea, why do they have you locked up in there. The patient replied "I'm not STUPID, just crazy"
