Fuel Pump Driver Module????
Fuel Pump Driver Module????
I have a 2005 f-150 stx 4x4, my problem has been the truck stalling, running rough and eventually it wont run at all. Let it set for an hour or two come back and it fires up. Also at high rpm it doesnt want to take fuel. Ive already had the fuel pump out, had a friend take it to a place where they test them, so he said, never heard of the place but they said it was fine. The small filter on the bottom of the pump was dirty but they cleaned it, also i cleaned the tank which had some gunk in it not too bad and i found a piece of masking tape, dont kno how that got in there. But after putting it all back togther the truck runs good through the entire rpm range except at idle. as i roll up to a red light or slow down at low speed the truck dies, if i keep my foot on the gas it runs fine. My question is would the fuel pump possibly be weak due to it having to work harder with all that gunk in my tank, or could this be the fuel pump module going bad, i have the module off the truck...no holes in it but it does look rough and i can slightly hear somethin rattling inside of it, if anyone has any imput or ideas i would like to hear it, by the way truck has 56,000 miles on it, thanks
