1992 Ford Bronco,151000 miles. RABS speed sensor and Idle Air By-Pass valve replaced recently.Ran fine. Now tranny won't shift. Code was 168-torque converter. It's in "limp" mode, only 2 gears. Bought Jasper reman. transmission. Installed it, put external oil cooler on, and new MLPS sensor (Motorcraft Part #F5TZ-7A247-AA).When the installation was complete, the car exhibited the exact same characteristics as before the transmission was replaced...., it would not shift and had only 2 gears. We ran the KOEO and KOER self tests and they showed no codes.
We assumed then, that the ECM was bad. I had the ECM tested at the dealer and they reported it was bad. I bought new ECM (from dealer) and installed it this past weekend. Still the same. LED light on gear selector does not work, but, prior to the problems, it would always engage or disengage the overdrive if the switch were depressed. Further, there were no codes indicating it was bad.
HELP! I'm broke.

Is the speedometer working perfectly? If it is jittery then look at the speed sensor ring in the rearend. If it has any damage on any of the teeth it will cause this problem and it will not set any codes.
sideout2 is right, I also had a throttle position sensor go out and it caused this same thing.
I have experience in both of the above situations. The E4OD has to have correct input from ALL sensors to work properly.
Check the TPS first, then check the speed ring attached to the ring gear in the rear end, If it is equiped with the rear end speed sensor.
