looking for 3" dp

Ready to get rid of this stock dp and go to 3". I figured it is just a piece of metal so does brand really matter?? I'd like to find one that has a flange, so in the future if I want to add something else on I can. Right now I'm just running with the downpipe and nothing else.

I think so. I did a one-piece install and it can be tricky snaking it down in. You'll need to make room bending the firewall back or cutting the seam weld that juts out a little. It really depends on where your cab is installed with regards to your engine. I had very little room to work with, so it was a pain. Every truck is different. Hope yours is easier than mine was.

A two piece is the way to go. then at the pinch weld on the body you will want to cut thru the pinch weld on each side of where the DP goes and bend the weld up out of the way, flat with the tunnel.

Got mine from Bean's Diesel for less than $100. Easy to install. 2-piece. Has the flange on it.

Just finished up my mbrp DP install yesterday...what a pain...but well worth it if you ask me! much better sound, better throttle response, wicked nice whistle, just a good mod. Good luck, and deffinetly go with the 2 piece.

I used a porta-power and I havent to cut the sheam weld, (less work and no change of future oxidation) and worked fine, at least in my truck (but as said above every truck is different).

Thanks for the graphic, RÖENTGEEP!
Since I have access to a port-a-power, i'll try it your way.
