im gonna do a sas on my 1990 f-250 4x4 i found a 86 dana dually front axle. is it the same set up as my trucks f-350 bothers or are the older ones different? also what do i need to convert it to single wheel. will any of my dana 50 ttb parts work?
Your D50TTB hubs will go right on that axle making it SRW. As long as you get the F350 steering, the track bar and bracket, it'll be a bolt in swap. I'd recommend getting the F350 springs(much lower spring rate) along with the F350 dual cardan front driveshaft and front output yoke from it's transfer case.
99-02 Superduty springs should giv eyou better ride quality. 75F350 (Ed) probably knows the most about the superduty spring swap, so you might ask him about it.
I havn't tried them yet personally. (Keepin' my eye out for some lift springs!)
The SD springs have a different center pin location than the earlier leafs, and are a bit shorter in length. This means that the axle location will have to be addressed.
How do you intend to hang your leafs? Are you going to use a shackle reverse kit?
If you shackle revers the thing, you wont have to worry or even bother with a trac bar, as it will no longer be necessary.
How much additional height do you plan to increase?
so if i use the superduty springs will i have to relocate my hanger? and i would like to do the shackle reversal so i dont have to worry about the trac bar. how much lift does the shackle reversal add?

Yes, you will need to relocate the hanger. It really isn't a big problem if your doing the shackle reversal as well because your putting new ones on. And shackle reversals can gain you around 2-4 inches of lift. It can vary depending on the kit. Most i've seen are around 4".
cause eventually im gonna do a cummins swap and start using it for a toy. plus i shouldnt have all the tire were problems since i have the heavy 7.3l diesel in the front.
