To check for the dripping fuel, just take off the air cleaner, and look down the carb with the engine running, use caution though, it's like a machine.....
There shouldn't be any fuel dripping into the carb barrels, at idle, all fuel is drawn thru the idle circuit at the base of the carb.
When re-installing the metering rods/plungers, I always push them down 2-3 times to make sure they move freely, and are fully seating.
the metering rods seem to be working fine. no fuel dripping at idle. it just doesn't idle very good and i don't see why. carb is clean
