Take four equal sized *****. Lay three down touching each other and the forth in the pocket formed by the first three. The dimension from the base plate to the top of the top ball is 1.5 inches, what is the diameter of the *****?
Believe I got it, after three tries and about 45 minutes total. I thought I had it on the second try, but went back through the clues and found out I had messed one up...

If you take 4 ***** and do like Im thinking you have a design like this:
0
0 0
Place the fourth ball in the center of the bottom two and they rest on top of ball 1, 2, and 3... If its 1.5 inches tall. Wouldnt half the ball fit over the top of ***** 1,2,and 3 and the other half be in the "seat" of the *****?
Please email me the answer

The answer is 0.803 I have never found a formula to figure the problem directly, but have worked it out by taking a guess, figuring ot out, taking another guess, etc.
