The Einstein Riddle
There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a
person with a different nationality. The owners drink a certain
type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a
certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

HINTS:

The brit lives in the red house
The Swede keeps dogs as pets
The Dane drinks tea
The green house is on the left of the white house
The green homeowner drinks coffee
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
The man living in the center house drinks milk
The Norwegian lives in the first house
The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats
The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes
Dunhill
The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer
The German smokes Prince
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water

OK...I want the whole answer...not just who owns the fish.
I want to know who lives in what color house, who smokes what, who drinks what, etc...

BTW: According to Einstein...only 2% of the world can solve this

sorry, i cant..got a headache just reading through it.

 

I had to do this this past spring for Sociology. It's the German who lives in the Green House, drinks Coffee, smokes Prince and owns the Fish, correct?

The Yellow House is owned by the Norweigan, who drinks water, smokes Dunhills, and has a Cat.

The Blue House is owned by the Dane, who drinks Tea, smokes Blend, and has Horses.

The Red House is owned by the Brit, who drinks Milk, smokes Pall Mall, and has a Bird

And the White House is owned by the Swede, who drinks Beer, smokes Blue Master, and has a Dog.

Am I right?

 

Too much brain strain for a Sunday morning with a Nascar race coming up.

I can say for certain I'm a Limey Canuck in a white house, drinking coffee, occasionally smokin' my tires and watchin' my 3 dogs, 3 cats and a goldfish.

Darn it Sandrat I have been racking my brain for 2 hours and when I finally figure it out I come back and you have the answer down already. But I will put the houses in order from left to right by color: Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, White. At least all of the paper and frustration was not for nothing.

Can you believe there are 2 people on the Ford truck forum that are in the smartest 2% of the population (at least that is what Einstein said, and he was purty smart)

Now I am going to soak my head in cold water to cool it off, that give me a headache.

Well, we all drive fords, so we should be able to figure it out. If you posted that on a chevy board, they would be running around confused screaming for help. lol

I cannot believe that only 2% of the population could solve that.. I do not doubt that there are a significant number of people that would give up too soon, but it was not all that difficult to figure out, and I am a long way from the top 2% of society.

Same here, I do those kinds of logic problems all the time, and I don't consider myself in the top 2% either. But today I had to go look at a Ranger, so I figured I'd do it later. (I did skip the answer so I wouldn't cheat!)

 

Well, I've got a piece of paper that has 5 squares on it, and "milk" written in the center square.

I give up.
